Unrefined resources for your production do. ![]() If your people are requesting items that you aren't producing, IMPORT THEM! Consumer goods don't cost you anything. I would recommend starting by removing UN aid stations and becoming self-sustaining with food within the first few turns. This will allow you to see where you need to improve in the chain of production and refining. Resources: You can hover over each resource icon to see a tooltip displaying the logistics behind them. This will give you a head start on approval and, more importantly, improve province qualities if you do it right. I recommend overhauling your policies on the first few turns (keep in mind that they do use up a turn slot, so change them wisely and efficiently in the beginning). You can change policies in minister offices that aren't filled yet. I only just figured this out halfway through my second play-through (my first administration began falling into chaos because of my inexperience). Policies: Many policies need to be activated after researching them (they have a radial button in the top right corner). ![]() If I knew these things, my first play through would have been much more pleasant.
